Field of Dave is the new site name for The David Super:

After trying to release my first song via multiple iterations of my music artist name that incorporated my name (David/Dave) I finally got one that no one else uses. I also decided to integrate my current site with my music… because why not?!? Anyway, welcome new people and apologies to anyone trying to access thedavidsuper.com when it’s now fieldofdave.com as of late June 2026.

My career in the film industry has amazing gone from strength to strength as I’m department head for 3 shows in a row this year alone. Meanwhile, AI is quickly taking over every aspect of film production as well as other industries/fields. My main goal is to do my job to the best of my abilities (and keep my hardworking crew employed) while also moving forward learning/working with AI.

I’ve been doing sound design & music production on the side for 15yrs now and the use of AI tools has greatly sped up the creative process. So much so that I have the time to make & release my own music. I don’t want to hash out slop either so I do 100% of the writing and much of the direction of the tracks that I create. The vocal aspect is limited to royalty-free AI voices for now until I’m able to incorporate my own cloned vocal bank.

I’ve averaged 5hrs of sleep since the year began, that’s how busy my work load has been. But it’s definitely worth it in the end. I’ve got more passion now for everything I do than ever before, and it shows through the appreciation from my family, friends & crew. Recently, semiregular sleep routine of 6-8hrs has returned, so that’s a definite plus. Just this week we lost 5 coworkers from health-related causes… that’s right, film work STILL kills you!!!

Anyhow, I’ll be posting about my first song shortly. Gotta take some relax time to watch FIFA when my home country is playing (go Canada!). Also need to sleep and not die… literally typing like a drunk person I’m so sleepy.
